I discovered the Champagne region thanks to my passion for guiding and fell in love with it straight away. When the tourism industry stopped in 2020, I moved there for a while to learn how to work in vineyards, wineries and cellars.Come on a tour with me so I can share with you the wonders of this area!We'll go through several villages to contemplate the vineyards of the Valley of the Marne river. We'll stop by the champagne birthplace - Hautvillers - the village of Dom Perignon whose tomb is still visible.We will visit one luxurious world-renowned Champagne House and its cellars and will end with a tasting. Also, I will take you to a small family-owned winery for you to discover another aspect of the champagne production and taste their amazing sparkling wines!If you happen to tour with me during winter time, I may show you the pruning techniques in a vineyard!

ITINERARYI'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:00am.The drive time to Champagne is approximately 1h 45. When we get there we will:- Visit at a world-famous Champagne House with tasting (not included)- Hautvillers village- Church & Dom Perignon's Tomb- Scenic viewpoint over the vineyards- Lunch in a traditional restaurant (not included)- Visit at a small family-owned winery with tasting (not included)Drive back to Paris. Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.

Bonjour! I am Dimitri, I grew up on the coast of Britanny - Western France, near the famous Normandy. I used to live in Paris for many years and moved not long ago to Versailles, the capital city of the french monarchy where the famous Sun King's Palace is. I guess that was written in the stars because I've been fascinated by the royal history of France since I was a child… Later on, I discovered a special interest for foreign languages and lived in several countries to work on that (US, Spain, Mexico, Italy and Brazil). And if you add the fact that I love driving, then it's been the perfect recipe for me to become a driver-guide and take you all around France to share my love of this country.I have worked as a guide for a decade and specialized in private tours because I want to be able to share with you more than historical information. You actually really get to meet the people you greet only in private tours. It is definitely the best option to discover at your own pace and I'll be happy to offer flexibility, as this is what I look for when I travel myself.The region of Paris is usually the part that people first discover, there is so much to see! However it is also really worth to do trips outside Paris, to the WW2 landing beaches of Normandy, the Champagne vineyards, the Castles of the Loire Valley, and more.
